About the role#
This is a full-time Production Support Engineering Co-op position based in Middletown, Connecticut. The role requires an on-site presence at the Pratt & Whitney Engine Assembly and Test center. This opportunity spans the Winter, Spring, and Summer 2027 terms. Candidates must be U.S. citizens to access program information.
What you'll do#
- Provide daily technical support for the Engine Center shop floor.
- Deliver substantiated technical evaluations and dispositions for defective components.
- Manage Engineering Dispositions within the Quality Notification system.
- Support on-site failure investigations and product recall investigations.
- Use RTX CORE techniques to drive investigations into product non-quality events.
- Assist with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes.
- Research supplier specifications and processes to approve hardware rework or repair.
- Coordinate the retrieval and review of engine test data related to reported faults.
- Prepare status update presentations for customers.
- Attend and participate in review meetings with Collins, suppliers, and customers.
- Distribute status updates to internal Collins teams.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Active enrollment through the completion of the co-op session.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours by the start of the role.
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, or Autodesk.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience managing projects and working on cross-functional teams.
- Experience presenting information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Previous experience with SAP.
- Prior internship, co-op, or work experience with RTX.
