    About the role#

    The Certification Engineer Co-Op supports the research, planning, and execution of the FAA certification process for commercial aircraft seats and seating components. Reporting to the Certification Manager, this role involves working with structural and flammability certification teams to ensure products meet safety standards. This is a full-time, on-site position available for Winter 2027 and Summer 2027 terms.

    What you'll do#

    • Contribute directly to certification efforts and FAA regulatory processes.
    • Collaborate with integrated project teams on seat testing and documentation tasks.
    • Prepare Technical Standard Order (TSO) packages.
    • Gain experience in the regulatory requirements for aircraft interiors.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Advanced degree program in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering.
    • Active enrollment status through the completion of the co-op session.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites.
    • Status as a U.S. Person as defined by federal regulations.
    • Experience reviewing and approving technical drawings is preferred.
    • At least 60 completed credit hours by the start of the co-op is preferred.
    • Prior experience in the aerospace industry, specifically with aircraft interiors, is preferred.
