About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Co-Op opportunity based in Aiken, South Carolina. You will work in a hybrid capacity to support the development, delivery, and commissioning of process control systems. You will assist in designing, building, and maintaining IT-OT computer systems, including virtual infrastructure, failover systems, and network administration.
What you'll do#
- Design, build, and support IT-OT computer systems, including network installation and troubleshooting.
- Perform system performance audits on customer systems.
- Troubleshoot field instrumentation and valve-related situations.
- Manage distributed control system commissioning and startup.
- Install and troubleshoot Microsoft operating systems and computer hardware.
- Setup interfaces to PLCs, drives, and bus-based networks.
- Conduct training sessions for end users.
- Assist in the quotation and technical sales support of field service solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a B.S. degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical field.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a customer project team.
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- United States citizenship and a valid driver’s license.
- A desire to participate in ongoing learning regarding the latest technologies.
