About the role#
As an Automation Engineering Co-op, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of automation systems for capital projects. You will work alongside project management and account teams to deliver quality solutions using DeltaV and other Emerson technologies while ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
What you'll do#
- Design and implement process control strategies.
- Configure control strategies within the DeltaV DCS system.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests and Software Acceptance Tests.
- Assist with start-up and commissioning activities at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot system hardware, software, network, and instrument bus technologies.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You must be a United States citizen with a valid driver's license.

- This is a full-time, paid, rolling co-op position.
- Work modality is hybrid.
- Available locations include Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; and Richmond, VA.
