About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience with the data center life cycle. You will work on initiatives tied to real objectives, acting as a technical contributor or project manager. The program includes orientation, weekly lunch and learns, and site-based activities.
What you'll do#
- Design project timelines and identify deliverables.
- Maintain budgets, schedules, and status reports for assigned projects.
- Develop scopes of work for design, configuration, and commissioning.
- Research proposed solutions and workflows.
- Assist with data interpretation, correlation, visualizations, and reporting.
- Work on technology procurement and delivery processes.
- Monitor the status of in-production technologies and respond to break-fix issues.
- Develop and populate new database structures.
- Track and resolve security vulnerabilities.
- Develop value statements for innovation initiatives.
- Participate in procurement and project cost estimates.
- Perform technical writing tasks and data cleansing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Engineering, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, STEM, or Data Science.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- US Citizenship.
- Experience in construction or the data center industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
- Prior exposure to project management principles and involvement in community activities are preferred.
