About the role#
The Accounts Payable Intern role provides exposure to real-world projects and financial operations. You will work on various functions to build your professional skills and gain insight into the daily operations of our finance team.
What you'll do#
- Review, validate, and process vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with invoice coding and route approvals following company policies.
- Monitor accounts payable workflows.
- Research and resolve payment issues, discrepancies, and inquiries.
- Support the team with month-end closing activities.
- Partner with internal stakeholders on specific projects and initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, Human Resources, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for presentations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Previous internship or co-op experience in finance, technology, construction, HR, or facilities engineering is preferred.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI and programming languages like Python or Java is a plus.
- Involvement in community activities, such as athletics, clubs, volunteering, or part-time employment.
- Must be a full-time student at a QTS partner institution or a Blackstone Launchpad affiliate school.
