About the role#
Qorvo is hiring a Facilities Intern to work within our Global Operations group at the Hillsboro campus. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role. You will work alongside engineers and technicians to support the mechanical and chemical systems that power our semiconductor manufacturing operations.
What you'll do#
- Learn about the chemical and mechanical systems at the Hillsboro campus through technical documentation and hands-on reviews.
- Monitor system performance using SCADA data.
- Assist with troubleshooting and equipment repairs.
- Conduct audits to find opportunities for energy savings and improved system reliability.
- Research new equipment and evaluate the risks and rewards for existing and proposed systems.
- Support high-value capital projects.
- Complete a dedicated project over approximately 2 months and present your findings to the Facilities organization.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- A preferred graduation date of May or June 2029.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A self-starting attitude and the ability to work well within an integrated team.
- Demonstrated mechanical or engineering aptitude.
- Good communication skills.
