About the role#
This 8-month co-op position offers students the opportunity to join our Tax practice in Calgary. You will work with a team of professionals to help Canadian companies access tax incentives, specifically focusing on Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) claims. This role involves helping businesses navigate complex incentive programs and delivering insights that support informed business decisions.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the completion of SR&ED claims and other incentive program submissions.
- Assist in managing and delivering large projects.
- Provide practical solutions to optimize clients' returns.
- Support clients during SR&ED reviews and attend meetings.
- Contribute to business development activities to identify and research new opportunities.
- Complete assignments on time and within budget.
What you'll need#
- Completion of second year courses in accounting, mathematics, physics, business administration, or economics.
- Strong client-service orientation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills to apply SR&ED rules to client opportunities.
