About the role#
As a Deals Corporate Finance Intern, you will join a team of professionals helping clients navigate complex business transactions. This role involves supporting mergers, acquisitions, and financing projects from initiation to completion. You will work on various business development initiatives and help solve issues from strategy through to execution.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research on companies and industries.
- Support the team in preparing and presenting marketing pitches for existing and potential clients.
- Assist in creating internal and external marketing materials, including teasers and confidential information memorandums.
- Prepare financial models to support analysis in proposals and transaction documentation.
- Manage transaction status reports.
- Work extended hours on an as needed basis.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary business or commerce degree with a specialization in finance.
- Progression toward a finance or accounting designation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Capital IQ.
- Comprehensive financial and accounting skills, including an understanding of cash flow, financial modelling, and valuation methodologies.
- A proactive approach to learning new tools and managing multiple projects under time constraints.

- Modality: Hybrid (Activity Based Work model).
- Employment type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $46,000 - $56,000 annually, plus eligibility for performance pay programs.
