About the role#
As a Cyber and Privacy Summer Intern at PwC, you will join a team of problem solvers focused on protecting clients from digital threats. This role provides hands-on experience in a professional consulting environment, where you will assist in developing strategies to detect, respond to, and remediate cybersecurity issues. You will work directly with experienced professionals to learn how businesses operate and how trust is built through security compliance.
What you'll do#
- Learn core cybersecurity concepts including attack patterns, detection, and response.
- Assist with security monitoring, incident management, and client care.
- Investigate, identify, and report on security incidents while ensuring mitigation.
- Revise and develop processes to strengthen the Security Operations Framework.
- Maintain and administer security devices and integrate logs into SIEM systems.
- Perform threat modeling and develop use cases for security monitoring.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all work adheres to client agreements and internal process standards.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in the third year of a post-secondary program in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics.
- Proficiency in coding with Java, C, C++, or Python.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented approach with excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a team.
- Excellent command of the French language.
