About the role#
The Nursing Assistant Student role is a paid, full-time position for individuals working toward a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or EMT certification. You will work under the supervision of a Nurse Manager or their designee. This role is designed to help you gain experience while you complete your training program, which may be done independently or through a program sponsored by Providence St. Patrick Hospital. You must obtain your Montana CNA or EMT Basic license within 12 months of your hire date.
What you'll do#
- Perform continuous patient observation to ensure safety and comfort.
- Carry out basic patient care tasks as delegated by a Registered Nurse or Nurse Manager.
- Document all patient observations and care activities.
- Complete non-direct patient care duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Commitment to completing a CNA or EMT certification program.
- Ability to obtain a Montana CNA or EMT Basic license within 12 months.
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
- Previous patient care experience is preferred.
