About the role#
As an Intern Systems Engineer, you will contribute to the development and delivery of communication solutions for military platforms. You will work within the Strategic Defense Solutions team to support critical mission needs, including projects related to Strategic Nuclear Deterrence. This role involves working in a cross-functional agile team while receiving mentorship on engineering processes.
What you'll do#
- Create, decompose, and trace requirements for communications systems on air and ground military platforms.
- Use model-based systems engineering applications to build logical and physical design diagrams.
- Perform integration and testing for communications solutions.
- Coordinate closely with a mentor to apply established engineering processes.
What you'll need#
- Active pursuit of a degree in a STEM field, including Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with RTX systems, processes, and tools is preferred.
- Experience with systems engineering, such as capturing customer requirements or operations concept development, is preferred.
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering concepts and tools like Magic Draw Cameo, Enterprise Architect, or SysML is preferred.
- Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred.
