About the role#
The Plant Engineering Intern works with the plant and maintenance managers to improve operational efficiency and maximize run time. You will support the team by troubleshooting process issues and helping to build out predictive and preventative maintenance programs. This is a full-time, on-site internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot and identify process needs to maintain production levels.
- Assist in the development of predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
- Collaborate with the maintenance department and outside vendors to create maintenance schedules, determine equipment needs, and set inspection frequencies.
- Work with the management team to strengthen and develop plant operating procedures.
- Compile and analyze data related to plant operations.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding projects and processes while promoting safe behavior.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior-level status as a full-time student at an accredited 4-year college or university.
- Current enrollment in a Chemical, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering degree program.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts for a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software programs.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 pounds, climbing stairs and ladders, and working in various environmental conditions.
