About the role#
Stantec is seeking a Chemical Engineering Intern for our Water practice in Houston, Texas. This position is for the Summer 2027 term. You will work with our Industrial Water team on projects across various sectors including power, datacenters, semiconductors, energy, and mining. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Assist the local project delivery team with report preparation, documentation, project administration, and research.
- Develop process engineering deliverables such as BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs, mass and energy balances, equipment sizing, and vendor coordination.
- Prepare technical project reports and assist with proposal development.
- Help resolve RFIs and submittals.
- Attend project meetings and assist with meeting minutes.
- Participate in field learning, support commissioning activities, and visit project sites as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited bachelor or master Chemical Engineering program.
- You must be returning to school for your final academic year following the internship.
- A valid drivers license.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of process modeling software is a plus but not required.
