About the role#
As a Merchandising Intern, you will support the team in managing our Co-Product portfolio. You will study markets and build customer relationships while working with products like Dried or Wet Distillers Grains and Distillers Corn Oil. This role offers the chance to learn about commodity marketing on a global stage.
What you'll do#
- Research and gather market intelligence across various areas.
- Collaborate with the merchandising team to create sales strategies.
- Represent POET Bioproducts at off-site customer locations and networking meetings.
- Complete a strategic market development plan or a similar value-added project.
- Develop and use different forms of marketing communication.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Sophomore or Junior in college.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Ag Business, Ag Economics, Economics, or a similar field.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both individually and as part of a team.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
