About the role#
The Plant Engineering Intern works with the Plant Manager and Maintenance Manager to improve plant efficiency and optimize run time. You will support the team in troubleshooting process needs, maintaining production levels, and developing maintenance programs. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot and identify process needs to maintain production levels.
- Assist in the development of predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
- Compile and analyze data related to plant operations.
- Work with the maintenance department and outside vendors to assist in the preventative maintenance program.
- Collaborate with the management team to strengthen and develop plant operating procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding projects and processes while fostering safe work habits.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Junior or Senior-level student enrolled full-time at an accredited 4-year college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering.
- Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and work in various plant environments including heights and confined spaces.
