About the role#
The IT Intern supports our day-to-day technical operations. You will gain practical experience in corporate IT by assisting with hardware deployment, Microsoft 365 administration, and cybersecurity tasks. This role is designed for someone who wants to learn how technology supports our business operations and project teams.
What you'll do#
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, connectivity, and printing issues.
- Prepare, configure, and maintain laptops, monitors, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including account setup and equipment preparation.
- Troubleshoot Windows workstations and common desktop applications.
- Participate in cybersecurity initiatives, such as phishing prevention and endpoint security.
- Maintain IT documentation, knowledge-base articles, and technical guides.
- Assist with software installations, updates, and inventory management.
- Support projects involving cloud services, business applications, and infrastructure.
What you'll need#
- Interest in computers and learning about IT support for hardware, software, and connectivity.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Understanding of networking and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
- Interest in cybersecurity tools and practices.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration.
