About the role#
As a Buyer Intern, you will handle procurement execution for goods and services. You will ensure that all purchases meet the quality, delivery, and pricing expectations of our customers and our internal standards. This is a paid, full-time summer internship based in Neenah, Wisconsin.
What you'll do#
- Support material purchasing based on management guidelines and customer contracts.
- Make tactical buying decisions to meet scheduled demand.
- Manage order placement, rescheduling, and cancellations.
- Reconcile and approve receiving and invoice issues.
- Address obsolete, inactive, and excess inventory.
- Negotiate lead-time constraints with suppliers to keep commitments on track.
- Review delivery issues and take corrective action to prevent schedule impacts.
- Communicate with vendors to support purchasing needs.
- Complete special projects and assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Engineering, Mathematics, or Supply Chain Management.
- Junior level status.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
