About the role#
The Supplier Quality Engineer Intern acts as a liaison between operations, suppliers, and the Supplier Quality Department. You will help ensure that purchased products meet all quality, regulatory, and technical specifications.
What you'll do#
- Support part qualification and evaluation activities for prototype and sustaining manufacturing.
- Assist with supplier audit activities for validation and ongoing management.
- Monitor supplier quality performance by analyzing performance data.
- Help resolve issues with parts throughout all phases of operations.
- Support supplier corrective action and continuous improvement projects.
- Assist with containment, segregation, NCM review, and trend analysis processes.
- Notify suppliers of cost-recovery requirements for non-conforming parts.
- Support the selection of alternative suppliers.
- Participate in customer-facing supplier quality activities.
- Support receiving inspection (RI) activities and process effectiveness.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering or a related field for the entire internship duration.
- Junior level status.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
