About the role#
The Digital Manufacturing Operations Engineer intern supports the optimization of manufacturing operations using digital technologies. You will apply automation, data analytics, and simulation to improve efficiency, quality, and agility in a high-volume production environment. This role contributes directly to real-world operational performance.
What you'll do#
- Analyze, develop, and implement digital manufacturing solutions like automation scripts and data models.
- Gather, clean, and analyze manufacturing data to find process bottlenecks.
- Verify the effectiveness of newly implemented digital tools.
- Create and maintain project documentation, including findings and procedures.
- Complete project work to build an understanding of manufacturing processes, product requirements, and engineering specifications.
- Gain practical experience with specialized software, test equipment, and measurement tools.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with Solidworks, AutoCAD, and Lean Sigma.
- Proficiency in Google Applications.
- Junior level academic status is preferred.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
