About the role#
As a Digital Engineer intern, you will work on hardware and system concepts that meet customer requirements. You will receive mentorship and coaching from experienced hardware engineers while working alongside a cross-functional team of analog, digital, software, and mechanical engineers to improve hardware designs. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Implement and verify hardware designs using EDA tools.
- Capture schematics and supervise PCB layouts.
- Deliver prototype hardware to customers.
- Analyze circuit designs using simulation tools like SPICE and finite element tools.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting and bring-up of prototype hardware in the lab.
- Measure analog hardware performance using oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
- Create project documentation following quality and change management procedures.
- Participate in performance reviews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering for the duration of the internship.
- Sophomore or Junior level status.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Relevant coursework in FPGA design and test benching (VHDL, Verilog, or System Verilog) or Circuit Design and Layout.
