About the role#
This summer position offers students a chance to explore public practice accounting. You will receive hands-on training and contribute to real client work while working alongside an experienced team. This is a full-time, paid role designed to help you build practical skills in accounting, assurance, and taxation.
What you'll do#
- Gain experience in bookkeeping, compilations, reviews, audits, T5s, GST, and corporate tax.
- Work on client projects from the initial planning phase through to completion.
- Communicate with clients and colleagues in a professional manner.
- Travel to various client offices as needed.
- Develop your ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in the second or third year of a business degree with an accounting major.
- A high level of curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
- Previous experience in customer service or bookkeeping is welcome.
- Familiarity with CaseWare, Profile, Sage, QuickBooks, or QBO is considered an asset.
