About the role#
As a CPA Articling Student at Pivotal LLP, you will gain technical experience in accounting, assurance, and taxation. You will work on compilations, reviews, audits, and tax filings like T4s, T5s, GST, and corporate or personal tax returns. This position offers full financial support for the CPA program, including a pre-approved route, a mentor, and paid study time. Public practice is seasonal, so you will contribute more hours during the first half of the year, balanced by lighter, flexible weeks from June to December.

- Work independently on tasks while collaborating with your team.
- Manage your priorities to deliver quality work.
- Communicate clearly with clients and colleagues to build professional relationships.
- Travel to client offices when required.
What you'll need#
- A post-secondary degree that meets the requirements to begin the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) upon starting.
- A genuine interest in client service, learning, and teamwork.
- Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or customer service is an asset.
- Familiarity with software like CaseWare, Profile, Sage, QuickBooks, or QBO is helpful.
