About the role#
This is a paid software engineering internship focused on research and development. You will join a team building next generation medical information systems. This role offers hands-on experience in a health-tech environment, where you will contribute to solving complex technical problems alongside experienced architects.
What you'll do#
- Develop software applications and components for medical information systems.
- Work with architects to solve technical challenges.
- Apply agile methodologies to support innovation.
- Use software design patterns to improve code quality and system scalability.
- Push technology boundaries to address clinical and business problems.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong grasp of object-oriented software development concepts.
- Understanding of design and implementation for secure, scalable cloud architecture using Amazon Web Services.
- Practical experience applying design patterns to large-scale system development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to produce high-quality work independently or within a team.
- Preferred experience includes Java, Spring Boot, C# .NET, Angular JS, and SQL. Familiarity with AI tools, data analytics, and visualization platforms is a plus.

- Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (requires in-person presence at least 3 days per week).
- Terms: Winter 2027 or Summer 2027.
