About the role#
As a Data AI/ML Engineering Intern, you will join the Software and AI/ML Engineering team within the Image Guided Therapy Devices group in Plymouth, MN. You will help develop, analyze, and validate data-driven workflows for clinical imaging software. You will work alongside data scientists, software engineers, and product owners to improve the performance of AI models used in medical device software.
What you'll do#
- Support the gathering, processing, and analysis of raw data, specifically focusing on clinical imaging or healthcare datasets.
- Assist with exploratory data analysis to find patterns, trends, data quality issues, or unexpected results.
- Help verify the consistency and reliability of data sources used for model development.
- Assist engineers with model training, evaluation, tuning, and performance analysis.
- Complete required training for regulatory requirements and quality management standards.
- Create and present a final presentation summarizing your project, technical approach, and results.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
- Exposure to data analysis, machine learning, statistics, or model evaluation through coursework, academic projects, or previous internships.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical thinking skills.
- Effective communication, technical writing, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work on-site at the Plymouth, MN office.
