About the role#
As a Water Resources Engineering Intern, you will work with our engineering team on pipelines, pump stations, and reservoirs. You will gain hands-on experience by contributing to projects in transmission hydraulics, water supply planning, and flood monitoring. This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Participate in hydraulic modeling of transmission systems and water supply modeling.
- Review and document pipeline hydraulic information.
- Develop pipeline operations tools.
- Assist with water contract management.
- Conduct GIS analysis and collect engineering data.
- Perform field visits to TRWD locations and construction sites.
- Communicate solutions through emails and memos.
- Perform quality control on water supply tools and modeling results.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited 4-year college or university majoring in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Computer Engineering.
- A High School Diploma.
- A valid Texas driver license.
- Less than one year of experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Fort Worth, Texas.
- The position requires on-site work, including occasional visits to field sites and construction locations where you may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
