About the role#
As an Energy Intern, you will join the engineering and energy team to address water infrastructure energy needs within the ERCOT power market. This is a full-time, paid summer internship based in Fort Worth, Texas. You will work on-site, balancing office-based tasks with occasional field investigations at job sites or construction locations.
What you'll do#
- Analyze data to solve energy-related problems and improve water infrastructure.
- Perform operations optimization for multi-megawatt loads.
- Collect and organize energy data into usable formats.
- Conduct field investigations at various locations.
- Communicate your findings and solutions through presentations, emails, and memos.
- Use tools such as Power-BI, SQL, and Python for data analysis and modeling.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited 4-year college or university.
- A major in engineering sciences, mathematics, data science, business information systems, or a similar field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A valid Texas driver’s license.
- Less than one year of prior experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and handle multiple tasks.
