About the role#
As a Crush Operations Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in plant operations. You will work alongside professionals to learn how these operations support the broader supply chain and contribute to daily plant activities. This role is designed to build practical skills and industry knowledge.
What you'll do#
- Develop an understanding of agricultural business processes.
- Learn about OSHA safety requirements within an agricultural setting.
- Gain knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Conduct research and complete projects related to agricultural business.
- Assist supervisors and mentors with assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a four-year bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Production Management, Business, Animal Science, Poultry Science, Agriculture, or Occupational Safety and Environmental Health.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate others.
- Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and humidity.
- Ability to move freely through facilities, including climbing heights and carrying equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to wear required protective equipment, including a self-contained breathing apparatus.
Location & details#
- Location: Bainbridge, Pennsylvania.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- Employment Status: Full-time, paid internship.
- Travel: Required to visit remote agribusiness facilities and customer locations.
