About the role#
Forward Deployed Infrastructure Engineers build, operate, and maintain the infrastructure that powers our platforms and production deployments. As an intern, you work alongside full-time engineers to deploy software in real production environments. You will be treated as a full member of the team with ownership over your projects. You will solve infrastructure challenges using tools like Foundry and Apollo.
What you'll do#
- Deploy and operate Palantir software across production environments, including monitoring, alerting, configuration management, and upgrades.
- Debug, improve, and optimize services and infrastructure to ensure reliability and scalability.
- Reduce manual operations by automating workflows, processes, and runbooks.
- Develop novel solutions within our platforms to address infrastructure challenges.
What you'll need#
- Engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, C++, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Planning on graduating in 2028, with this being your final internship before graduation.
- Active US Security clearance, or the eligibility and willingness to obtain one prior to your start date.
- Confidence troubleshooting complex systems issues and working with large-scale production systems like load balancing and distributed systems.
- Ability to work independently and identify opportunities to automate manual tasks.
