    About the role#

    This internship provides hands-on experience in a professional panel shop environment. You will work alongside experienced panel builders and engineers to learn the fundamentals of industrial control panel fabrication and assembly. This role is based in our Indianapolis office and focuses on building and assembling industrial electrical control panels.

    What you'll do#

    • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
    • Assist with laying out back panels, mounting components, and routing wiring.
    • Support the assembly and wiring of industrial electrical control panels.
    • Learn proper panel fabrication techniques and the safe use of hand and power tools.
    • Work with engineers to understand drawing revisions, project updates, and technical questions.
    • Collaborate with the panel shop team to support production schedules and project goals.
    • Assist with inventory organization, material handling, and component tracking.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
    • Gain exposure to industrial automation and electrical control systems.

    What you'll need#

    • You are a rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior enrolled in an accredited college or university.
    • You are pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
    • You have an interest in automation, controls, manufacturing, or electrical systems.
    • You have strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
    • You can work effectively in a team environment.
    • You are comfortable working with tools and hands-on projects.
    • Previous panel building experience is not required.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Indianapolis, Indiana.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Work modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
    • This is a paid, full-time internship.
