About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027, you will help design and develop custom electronics for our autonomous metal 3D printing factories. You will work alongside our engineering team on projects covering electrical system design, PCB development, and system integration. This role provides hands-on experience with controls, sensing, and hardware-software integration.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of reliable electronics and PCBs.
- Support circuit modeling and simulation to analyze performance and validate designs.
- Contribute to electrical architecture tasks, including schematic capture, component selection, prototyping, bring-up, debugging, and documentation.
- Perform hands-on debugging using lab equipment, custom instrumentation, and test setups.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development, integration, and testing across mechanical and software systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in electrical engineering or computer engineering at an ABET accredited university.
- Hands-on electrical experience from internships or engineering clubs like FSAE, Baja SAE, solar car, rocket club, or robotics club.
- A firm grasp of electrical engineering fundamentals and a first-principles approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with industrial automation, robotics, spacecraft avionics, or similar high-performance electromechanical systems is preferred.
- An advanced degree, such as a Master’s or PhD in electrical engineering, is a plus.

- This internship is based on-site in Los Angeles, California.

- This is a full-time, paid position.
