About the role#
The PAS Student Tutor provides academic support to didactic students within the PA Program. You will help students grasp medical topics, assist with exam preparation, and encourage independent learning habits. This position requires coordination with program administration and adherence to advisor requirements.
What you'll do#
- Provide tutoring sessions for PA Program didactic students.
- Coordinate meeting times and locations with students, including group sessions.
- Document all tutoring activities and submit reports to the PA Program Admin.
- Help students understand specific medical concepts.
- Support students in their exam preparation efforts.
What you'll need#
- Current standing in the clinical year of the PA Program.
- A cumulative PA Program GPA of 3.8 or higher.
- Strong verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Patience and reliability when working with others.
- Ability to teach and work independently.
- A commitment to providing helpful student support.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, NY.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: To be determined with your supervisor. You may work up to 20 hours per week during the school term and up to 35 hours per week during breaks.
- This is a paid student position.
