About the role#
The Enrollment Operations Student Assistant provides administrative support to the department. You will help with daily office functions, manage visitor interactions, and assist staff with various projects. This is a paid, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Greet and assist visitors arriving at the office.
- Answer questions regarding department procedures.
- Handle a high volume of phone calls and take detailed messages for staff.
- Perform clerical tasks including filing, photocopying, shredding, and sending emails.
- Assist with department projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and stay organized.
- A patient and reliable approach when working with visitors.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Previous office experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Maximum of 20 hours per week during the school session and up to 35 hours per week during breaks. Specific hours are determined with your supervisor.
