About the role#
The Campus/Commuter Activities Board is hiring a student employee to support daily operations and programming. This role involves administrative tasks, office management, and direct assistance with campus events. You will work closely with the Assistant Director and graduate staff to build community and coordinate student initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative support to the department and greet office visitors.
- Assist with planning and implementing Weeks of Welcome and Winter Warm Up programming.
- Help develop commuter programming for the Dezer Den.
- Create marketing strategies and publications for various campus activities.
- Support signature programs like Spirit Week and the Explore NYC series.
- Handle other departmental projects and administrative duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Federal Work Study funds.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Previous office experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently.
Location & details#
- This position is located in New York, NY.
- Work is on-site.
- This is a part-time role. You may work up to 20 hours per week during the school term and up to 35 hours per week during breaks. Schedule is determined with your supervisor.
