About the role#
The Sovereign Cloud team builds next-generation cloud platforms for US state and local governments, civilian agencies, the defense sector, and the intelligence community. As an intern in the Oracle Veteran Internship Program (OVIP), you will join a team of product managers focused on the conception, design, and launch of government-focused cloud products. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience and professional development for transitioning military veterans and military spouses.
What you'll do#
- Support product managers in the end-to-end lifecycle of government-focused cloud products, from initial vision to roadmap and detailed requirements.
- Gain a deep understanding of the customer landscape, market dynamics, and competition to drive product adoption.
- Influence engineering teams to prioritize and iterate on features specific to government market requirements.
- Run pilot programs and gather continuous customer feedback to improve product performance.
- Partner with sales and marketing teams to create field enablement materials and deliver product collateral.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers, including engineers, partners, and senior leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or Data Science.
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
- Experience building value propositions, messaging, and guidance for stakeholders.
- Preferred: Understanding of cloud platform technologies and experience in a project management or technical leadership role with a cloud provider.
- Preference given to US veterans transitioning from active service or military spouses new to the corporate sector.
