About the role#
The Sovereign Cloud team builds next-generation cloud platforms designed specifically for US government, defense, and intelligence community customers. These platforms are isolated from commercial environments to meet rigorous security and compliance standards. As a Project Manager Intern within the Oracle Veteran Internship Program (OVIP), you will work closely with Product Managers to drive the conception, design, and launch of government-focused cloud products. This role is a full-time, paid internship designed to support transitioning military veterans and military spouses.
What you'll do#
- Support the product management team in driving the lifecycle of government-focused cloud products from vision to roadmap and detailed requirements.
- Gain a deep understanding of the US government market, including civilian, defense, and intelligence sectors, to increase product adoption.
- Influence engineering teams to prioritize and iterate on features required by government customers.
- Manage pilot programs and gather continuous feedback from users.
- Partner with sales and marketing teams to create field enablement materials, such as blogs and presentations, to explain service integration.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, partners, and senior leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or Human Resources.
- A strong understanding of cloud platform technologies and their application to real-world problems.
- Experience in a project management or technical leadership role with a cloud provider is preferred.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and a track record of taking ownership to drive results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience building value propositions, messaging, and guidance for customers and stakeholders.
- Preference for US veterans transitioning from active service or military spouses new to the corporate sector.
