We're looking for a driven and detail-oriented QA Engineer (Co-op) to join our growing Products & Technology team in Toronto. This team is passionate about delivering high-quality, scalable solutions to serve over 600,000 members.You will be responsible for:Support the development and maintenance of automated test scriptsExecute test cases and document results in a test management toolAssist in identifying manual test cases that are good candidates for automationWork collaboratively in an agile team with QA Engineers, Developers, and Product OwnersParticipate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and team discussionsHelp configure and manage test data across testing environmentsLearn and apply Agile testing practices in a real-world settingContribute to test coverage reviews against business requirements and user storiesAssist with troubleshooting and debugging test failuresPreferred Skills & Experience:Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related fieldSome exposure to test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks is an assetFamiliarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript)Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlinesAptitude to think out of the box and have good problem-solving skillsGood communication skills and ability to share and exchange ideas with your team members and managementHigh integrity and discretion to ensure the confidentiality of sensitive informationExperience in Zephyr/JIRA application is an assetKnowledge and understanding of SQL and database concepts will be an assetExperience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI) is an assetFamiliarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured) is an assetEagerness to constantly learn and update your skills in our cross-platform environment, and you like to share knowledge with othersAn interest in coding / computer programmingPrior experience with coding in JavaScript or Python is a plus but not mandatoryMust be enrolled in a co-op program at a recognized post-secondary institutionWe believe that time together in the office is important for OMERS and Oxford, the strength of our employees, and the work we do for our pension members.
