About the role#
Okanagan College is hiring peer tutors for the Success Centre. You will work under the supervision of a professor to provide academic coaching to other students. This role focuses on helping students strengthen their understanding of course material and study techniques rather than providing direct answers. This is a paid, non-regular, on-call student appointment for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Provide student-to-student academic coaching.
- Assist students with course materials and test preparation for Business Administration subjects.
- Help students navigate subject content based on their individual strengths.
- Teach effective study strategies and techniques.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Business Administration program with at least 48 completed credits.
- A minimum Grade Point Average of 75%.
- A strong grasp of your program subject matter.
- Ability to support the academic development of others.
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving, communication, and time management skills.
- A commitment to maintaining student confidentiality.

- Locations: Kelowna, BC and Vernon, BC.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 14, 2026 to December 18, 2026).
- Compensation: $18.42 to $23.51 hourly.
