About the role#
As a Success Centre Peer Learning Assistant, you will support students in achieving their academic goals. You will work under the supervision of faculty to help students follow their specific learning plans. This position is a paid student appointment for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Help students execute learning plans developed by faculty for specific courses or content areas.
- Demonstrate effective study habits and learning strategies.
- Provide individual assistance to students working through course problems.
- Offer peer feedback on student assignments.
- Follow established Success Centre procedures and keep accurate records of student interactions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program at Okanagan College.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with various computer software applications.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Previous work experience is considered an asset.
- Priority is given to students who demonstrate financial need.

- Location: Vernon, British Columbia.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026, to December 31, 2026).
- Pay: $18.42 per hour.
