About the role#
The School of Business is looking for a student to serve as a Peer Tutor. You will support students enrolled in BFIN 141 (Introductory Accounting 1) and BCPT 123 (Business Computing Basics). This role involves attending the course as a guest and helping your peers master course material in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Attend the specific course you are supporting as a guest.
- Plan and facilitate interactive study sessions for other students.
- Help peers practice new techniques and build effective study skills.
- Review course materials with students to encourage independent learning.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Capilano University.
- Good academic standing with a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- No current notations regarding student conduct, academic standing, or outstanding fees.
- A grade of B+ or higher in BFIN 141 and/or BADM 210.
- A grade of B+ or higher in BCPT 123.
- Strong organizational, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- International students must hold a valid study permit.
