About the role#
As a Digital Content Creator, you will assist the College Relations team in telling the story of Okanagan College. You will work under the supervision of the Digital Marketing Specialist to produce content that highlights the student experience, campus life, and the values of the institution. This role is a paid student position designed to support promotional activities and community engagement.
What you'll do#
- Produce photos, videos, stories, reels, and written posts for various digital platforms.
- Manage and grow the social media presence of the college.
- Create and maintain a content calendar that tracks key events and campaigns.
- Collaborate with the College Relations team to ensure all work aligns with marketing goals.
- Engage with students, faculty, and alumni to find and share success stories.
- Attend campus events to capture content and promote the community.
- Develop strategies to connect with current and prospective students.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary program at Okanagan College.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with content creation, specifically videography and photography.
- Familiarity with social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook.
- Ability to create content tailored to different audiences.
- Strong time and project management skills.
- Comfort being on camera and interviewing members of the college community.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Basic knowledge of editing tools like Canva or CapCut is an asset.
- Prior work experience is considered an asset.

- Location: Kelowna, British Columbia.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $18.42 per hour.
