About the role#
The Ignite program is a 12-week summer pre-internship designed for first and second-year undergraduate students. It provides an immersive experience where you work alongside technical experts on actual projects. You will gain exposure to our products, culture, and ecosystem.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with technical experts on real-world projects.
- Engage in an immersive program covering our hardware products and internal culture.
- Participate in various hardware-focused tracks, such as ASIC physical design, GPU verification, power architecture, or hardware infrastructure.
What you'll need#
- You are a first or second-year undergraduate student at a four-year university in the United States.
- You are pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Your resume must clearly state your anticipated graduation month and year.
- You are currently enrolled in courses covering hardware basics.
- You have basic knowledge of at least one programming language, such as C, C++, Python, Perl, or MATLAB.
- You demonstrate initiative through extracurricular projects, leadership roles, or club involvement.
- You possess a problem-solving mindset and a willingness to learn new tools.
It is helpful if you have experience with CAD software (Catia, SiemensNX, Solidworks, or Creo), Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL, or GPU APIs like CUDA or OpenCL. We also value an understanding of VLSI design, computer architecture, or CMOS circuits.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in Santa Clara, California.
- The program runs for 12 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- We provide a supplemental housing stipend and cover one-time round-trip travel expenses for students living more than 50 miles from the site.
