About the role#
This is a year-long internship program starting in the fall of 2026. You will work part-time during the school year and transition to a full-time schedule during the summer of 2027. You will work alongside a manager and mentor to handle financial tasks for insurance and annuity products. The role includes professional development workshops, networking events, and sessions with senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Ensure financial activity for insurance and annuity products is recorded in the general ledger.
- Manage accounting for field compensation.
- Prepare and approve journal entries.
- Perform account and system balancing reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve accounting findings by working with systems, client services, and field services teams.
- Prepare quarterly regulatory state reporting schedules and analysis.
- Collaborate on process improvement projects and assist with external audit requests.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Previous work or classroom experience in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities.
