About the role#
College Financial Representatives build a financial planning practice from the ground up while receiving guidance and support. You will work with local and national experts, use exclusive financial products, and build a professional network. This program provides a framework to help people achieve financial goals and gain experience in the financial services industry.
What you'll do#
- Prospect and network to build your business and client base.
- Develop and execute a business strategy.
- Call on potential clients and set meetings to understand their financial goals.
- Prepare plans and offer recommendations.
- Gain exposure to proprietary planning software platforms.
- Engage in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings.
- Receive Risk Product State Licensing for Life, Accident, and Health.
- Build life skills that support future career opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time student status, with juniors and seniors preferred.
- Entrepreneurial ambitions and a curiosity for sales.
- High level of involvement on campus, such as leadership roles, athletics, or student organizations.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- Interest in financial literacy and planning tools.
- Business savvy and a desire to increase critical thinking abilities.
