About the role#
As a Real Estate Analyst Intern, you will work with our investment team to support the property investments of the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. You will gain exposure to our debt and equity portfolio, which exceeds $60 billion across the United States. This internship provides hands-on experience in the investment underwriting process and helps you develop your professional goals in the financial services sector.
What you'll do#
- Provide underwriting and due diligence support for new debt and equity investments.
- Coordinate with internal units including architecture, environmental, legal, and tax teams during the underwriting process.
- Partner with investment production professionals to prepare deal submissions and review due diligence materials.
- Build and maintain loan pricing and equity return models.
- Prepare final underwriting documents for presentation to senior management.
- Assist field office personnel with the ongoing monitoring of investments and review servicing requests.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher.
- Previous work or classroom experience in real estate valuation, finance, or accounting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to travel as needed.

- This is a full-time, on-site internship located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
- The program runs from June 2027 to August 2027.
- This position does not offer immigration sponsorship.
