About the role#
College Financial Representatives build an integrated financial planning practice. You will work with local and nationwide experts to gain experience in the financial services industry. This program provides a framework to build your professional network and develop your business skills.
What you'll do#
- Prospect and network to build your business and client base.
- Develop and execute a business strategy.
- Call on potential clients and set meetings to discuss financial goals.
- Prepare plans and offer recommendations.
- Use proprietary planning software platforms.
- Attend weekly coaching, training, and development meetings.
- Obtain Risk Product State Licensing for Life, Accident, and Health.
- Build skills for your future career.
What you'll need#
- You are a full-time student, preferably a junior or senior.
- You have entrepreneurial ambitions and an interest in sales.
- You are highly involved on campus, such as in student government, athletics, or organizations.
- You possess strong time-management skills.
- You have an interest in financial literacy and planning tools.
- You are business savvy and want to improve your critical thinking.
