About the role#
Northrop Grumman is seeking Electrical Engineering students for a summer internship within the Navigation Intelligence and Connectivity Division. This role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience by contributing to the research, design, and development of electrical systems and components.
What you'll do#
- Research, plan, and design electrical components, equipment, and networks.
- Apply research findings to the testing and development of complex systems.
- Solve technical challenges and recommend practical solutions.
- Design electrical products and support full life-cycle engineering projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field.
- You must be enrolled full-time for the Fall 2027 semester.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
- Experience working on complex projects in an autonomous environment.
- Familiarity with programming and software such as HFSS, NEC, or FEKO.

- This is a paid, full-time internship located on-site in San Diego, California.
- The internship takes place during the summer of 2027.
