About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship at a luxury resort in Farmington, Pennsylvania. You will work within The Peak, the resort's recreational division, to gain hands-on experience in hospitality and guest services. The role is full-time and requires an on-site presence for the duration of the summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Create memorable guest experiences while learning how to run safe, engaging recreational programs.
- Support high-adventure activities such as zip-lining, belaying, the high ropes course, and Jeep off-roading.
- Assist with indoor entertainment including the gym, VR simulation, laser tag, cosmic bowling, and axe throwing.
- Gain exposure to year-round outdoor pool operations.
- Develop professional communication and guest interaction skills.
- Complete an experiential project focused on specific learning objectives related to your academic studies.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma.
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a bachelor's degree program in parks and recreation, hospitality management, sports management, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA, with preference for upperclassman status.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for up to eight hours at a time.
- Fluency in English.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. for the duration of the internship.
- Previous experience in recreation or customer service is preferred.
