About the role#
This year-round internship provides support to the Facility Management team by maintaining the exterior areas and structures of the property. You will gain insight into our operations while applying your education to real-world tasks. This role is flexible and scheduled around your academic commitments.
What you'll do#
- Perform general exterior maintenance duties.
- Plant and transplant trees, shrubbery, and other greenery.
- Maintain the landscape by mowing lawns, trimming shrubbery, and pruning trees.
- Apply fertilizer under the guidance of a Senior Grounds Crewman.
- Clear snow and ice from roadways, walkways, and sidewalks using shovels and engine-driven equipment.
- Drive company vehicles to pick up or deliver landscaping supplies, plants, and equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college-level course or degree-seeking program.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Physical capability to work in various positions, including standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Preferred majors include Agriculture, Environmental Engineering, or Business Administration.

- Schedule: Full-time hours, dependent on your school schedule.
