About the role#
The Workforce Optimization team manages staffing strategy and analytics for our branch network. We use quantitative analysis, forecasting, and business intelligence to help the organization make staffing decisions. As a Summer Associate, you will join this team for a 12-week program from May 2027 to August 2027 to work on projects that translate data into recommendations for branch performance.
What you'll do#
- Mine and analyze operational data to build staffing models and scenario-planning tools.
- Create clear documentation and guides to help stakeholders use dashboards for decision-making.
- Present your findings and dashboard capabilities to leadership teams.
- Participate in the daily strategy, analysis, and operations of the team.
- Work on specific projects such as building predictive staffing risk models, creating workforce planning simulators, and analyzing market strategies for branch growth.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a master’s degree program for data science, business analytics, or business administration.
- An anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Experience with research, data manipulation, and analysis.
- Proficiency with tools like SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, Databricks, Azure Data Studio, or GitHub.
- Ability to work with large datasets and present complex information to executive audiences.
- A habit of working independently and thinking creatively.
Location & details#
This is a full-time, on-site internship. You will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CT. Positions are available in the following locations:

- Pensacola, Florida
- Winchester, Virginia
- Jacksonville, Florida
- Virginia Beach, Virginia
